Compounded Medications

Easy Refills

Pharmacy Services

Ivy Specialty Compounding provides personalized pharmacy care through both custom-compounded medications and retail prescriptions. Our team works closely with patients and providers to create formulations tailored to individual needs, whether that means adjusting dosage strength, removing allergens, or changing medication forms for easier use. Alongside our compounding services, we also fill traditional prescriptions with the same attention to accuracy, quality, and patient care.

What is Compounding?

Compounding is the customized preparation of medications to meet a patient’s specific needs. Unlike mass-produced prescriptions, compounded medications are made from scratch by a licensed pharmacist, combining individual ingredients in the exact strength and dosage form prescribed by your doctor. This approach is ideal for patients who need allergy-friendly formulas, unique dosage strengths, discontinued medications, or alternative forms such as creams, liquids, or capsules.

How do I Get a Compounded Prescription?

To receive a compounded medication, you’ll first need a prescription from your doctor or healthcare provider. If your provider determines that a compounded medication is right for you, they can send the prescription directly to Ivy Specialty Compounding using our provider form. Once we receive it, our team will carefully prepare your medication and contact you when it’s ready for pickup or delivery.

What Does Compounding Include?

Combined Medications

Compounding allows pharmacists to combine multiple medications into one convenient formula. This helps simplify treatment and improve results.

Oral Solutions

Oral solutions are liquid medications made for easier swallowing and precise dosing. They’re ideal for patients who can’t take pills.

Added Flavoring

Pharmacists can add flavor to medications to make them more enjoyable to take. This is especially helpful for children and pets.

topical Application

Topical compounded medications are applied directly to the skin for targeted relief. They help deliver treatment where it’s needed most.
